Pump Repair: Pumps can become clogged putting your system at risk of backing up into the home. Sewage pumps have an average lifespan of 7-10 years, the floats that trigger your pump to run and alarm system typically have a shorter lifespan, depending on the design and usage of you system. EDR Septic has the tools and skills to install or replace pumps and floats.
Alarm: Alarms are in place to alert the homeowner when the pump or it’s floats are not functioning properly resulting the waste water level being too high, putting your system at risk for backing up into your home.
Distribution Boxes.
Distribution boxes can breakdown over time due to age and exposure to methane gases. They can be crushed when driven over and sludge can build up resulting in uneven distribution of waste water through your leach field.
Inlet & Outlet Pipes.
Improperly pitched inlet and outlet pipes can clog and freeze in the winter, over time the pipes can shift all resulting in improper flow of waste water, putting your home at risk of sewage back up. These pipes are often accidentally driven over, crushing them resulting in risk of sewage back up or sewage seepage into the ground.
Baffles & Risers.
The outlet baffle is designed to keep the solids in the tank, when the outlet baffle is missing or broken the solids flow to the distribution box. Eventually making their way to the field, clogging the field, leading to potential field failure.
